At the Marshalltown Public Library Friday they held the Battle of The Books as students from Lenihan and Saint Francis schools participated. The focus was on reading and reaching the goals of reading a certain number of books. Marshalltown Mayor Jim Lowrance was there, he gave out certificates of participation and also awards to the two three placing teams.
