Officials of the Marshall County Conservation Board say a controlled burn will take place there Thursday night at 7:30 pm and the public is welcome to watch. Spokesman Mike Stegaman says the burn will be helpful to the area habitat and will prevent invasive species from taking over an area that is designated as prairie. The event is dependent on favorable weather conditions.
