On Friday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines on the Drake campus, the South Tama girls’ 4 by 100 meter relay team posted the third best time in their competition. A Marshalltown High School alumnus, Mackenzie Beals helped her team Minnesota State Mankato to a couple of top ten finishes. Another Marshalltown High School alumnus Khor Kong anchored the final leg of the 4 by 100 meter relay race for his team Augustana College. Cool and cloudy weather for the competitors on Friday and rainy weather is forecast for the participants on Saturday.
