Joa LaVille of Marshalltown was presented with an award called the Paul Mann Memorial Human Relations award on Thursday. LaVille is Head of Youth Services at the library and a leader of the organization, Immigrant Allies of Marshalltown, an advocacy organization for the immigrant community in Marshalltown. She received the honor at ceremonies held at DeJardin Hall on the campus of Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown.
