Storm damage was reported across the state of Iowa on Tuesday. The Marshalltown and Marshall County areas were put under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch but no damage was reported in this neck of the woods. Marshalltown received .05 inch of rain and had a peak wind gust of 41 miles-per-hour. Tree damage was reported in rural Dallas Center, Jefferson, Grand Junction, Britt in Hancock County, and Pocahontas. Cattle barn damage was reported at Tripoli, grain bin damage at Sumner, crop damage at rural Dallas Center, a brief tornado touchdown was reported at rural Shell Rock with no damage. A farm building was damaged at rural Rolfe in Pocahontas County, power lines were reported down at Plainfield,  and lightning hit a tree at Camanche completely stripping the tree of its bark. Among the wind gusts Estherville reported a gust of 73 miles-per-hour, 58 miles-per-hour at Burt in Kossuth County, and 60 miles-per-hour at Jefferson.
