The rain on Wednesday seemed to be all around the Marshalltown area and as a result very little rain fell in Marshalltown proper. We had .04 inches of rain. The rainfall totals state wide officially ranged from a trace at Des Moines to over four and a half inches at Cedar Rapids. The drought concerns around the state are emerging, including talk of a flash drought the longer the heat wave stretches in this part of the month of June.
