(Des Moines, IA) – The owner of six cosmetology schools in Iowa has been ordered to forgive over a million dollars in student debt as part of a legal settlement. The 2014 lawsuit against LaJames International College claims, the school engaged in deceptive and unfair practices in its marketing, enrollment and instruction. The owner of the school has been ordered to forgive two-point-one-million dollars in student debt. School officials declined to comment on the ruling.
