The BCLUW Comets fell in the semi-final round of Class 2-A at the State Softball Tournament at Fort Dodge by the score of 2-0 to Van Meter. The Comets could only manage three hits in a tight ball game. Van Meter scored both its runs in the fourth inning. Olivia Callaway was the losing pitcher and saw her record slip to 23-2 on the year. Coach David Lee`s team fell to 30-9 on the year and have a Third Place game this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. against Logan Magnolia.
