The Marshalltown City Council will meet Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers. Council is expected to pass a resolution approving plans and specifications for Phase Two of the Iowa River Trail Project. Also among the highlights Council will hear from Ken Vinson, of Alliant Energy, about progress with creation of the Generating Station Project. In addition, five years of service awards will be given out including Sandy Gowdy of the Public Library and Captain Brian Batterson of the Marshalltown Police Department.
