The Marshalltown Police Department reports that the suspect in a shooting case has turned himself in. 45 year old Perry DeWalt surrendered to authorities about 5:45 on Monday afternoon. The shooting incident took place in the 100 Block of North Center Street around four o’clock on Saturday afternoon. The victim in the case identified as 47 year old Dustin Inman was taken to Central Iowa Health Care where he was treated and released. DeWalt faces charges of Attempted Murder and Being Armed with Intent. DeWalt was taken to the Marshall County Jail. He was scheduled to make an initial appearance in court Tuesday.
