A 20 year-old Buchanan County resident was named the 2016 Iowa State Fair Queen in ceremonies held Saturday night at the Fairgrounds. Amanda Riniker, daughter of Bruce and Jeanette Riniker of Winthrop, was named Fair Queen. She emerged from 103 competitors this year including Megan Pansegrau, a student at East Marshall High School, who was this year’s Marshall County Fair Queen.
