Saturday is the next to last day of the Iowa State Fair and attendance numbers continue to lag behind those of last year which set an all time record pace for the long history of the event. The latest numbers are from Thursday in which attendance was 85,366, some 22-thousand less than last year for the the date. Through 8 days of attendance figures kept, attendance was 735-thousand-492. The Grandstand attraction Saturday night is former Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler and the Loving Mary Band. Good crowds are anticipated for both Saturday and Sunday the final day of the fair.
