A good weather day on Sunday packed em in at the final day of the 2016 Iowa State Fair at Des Moines. An antique tractor pull and Lady Antebellum were the Grandstand attractions on the final day of the Fair. Through Saturday the attendance numbers for this years fair lagged behind those of last year which was a record pace, only three days this year including Saturday did the attendance numbers exceed those of last year. The total numbers through Saturday were 934,838. There was localized flooding at the Fairgrounds Friday night as torrential rains passed through Central Iowa in the evening time.
