The Salvation Army of Marshalltown was busy on Thanksgiving Day. Major Ben Stillwell says over 800 guests were served Thanksgiving Dinner and another 214 meals were delivered. The meals were served in the Citadel portion of the Salvation Army building on State Street here in Marshalltown. Volunteers from all walks of life gave of themselves to help make the effort a success. 47 turkeys were fixed for the event.
