The Marshalltown School Board met on Monday and approved a portion of the district`s at risk budget for the 20-17-2018 school year. The tax funded portion of the budget is one-million-184-thousand-328 dollars. The board also approved the purchase of a new computer program that will help the transportation department communicate with drivers and school officials. Art Instructor Kirk Niehouse was honored for receiving the Western Region Secondary Art Educator Award from the National Art Educators Association. Also the student staff showcase featured Lenihan Intermediate School.
