It turns out the lowest temperature this past weekend in Marshalltown was -16 with a low wind chill factor of -37, The peak wind gust turned out to be 32 miles per hour out of a northwest direction. It was brutally cold and not very safe to go outside unless you had to. On Friday as the weather was headed downhill we had a mixed bag which was essentially freezing mist with a mixture of snow. plus there was more snow and blowing snow Saturday. It was a miserable mess to be sure.
