The Marshalltown boys golf team on Thursday beat Fort Dodge by the score of 140-181 at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown. Tate Carlson was medalist, shooting a one under par 34. Marshalltown Senior cross country runner Luke Pederson finished 13th among the competitors in the Bobcat Early Bird meet held at the M-C-C course. The Marshalltown freshmen football team beat Ames 20-0 Thursday night at Leonard Cole Field in Marshalltown. The M-H-S Junior Varsity Squad lost to Ames 41-12. The varsity football team tonight will take on Ames here in Marshalltown to start the season. Airtime on KFJB is 6:25 and kick off is at seven. There will be an edition of the M-H-S quarterback club today at noon at O’Hungry’s in Marshalltown.
