Newly elected school board member Karina Hernandez was sworn in to the Marshalltown School Board Monday afternoon. The school board opted to reelect Bea Niblock as President of the Board and Janelle Carter as Vice President. School board approved a contract to do the work on Phase two of the Roundhouse Project with Ball Construction of Urbandale, the company will turn ground on the project and get things started as soon as possible. Chuck Springer has been named the new Director of Buildings and Grounds for the school district. Mechdyne Corporation was given the contract to redo the audio in the school board meeting room at a price tag of 23-thousand dollars.
