The Marshalltown High School boys golf team finished second in their district competition Tuesday and made the state tournament for the first time in 14 years. The team finished 2nd behind Cedar Falls. Tate Carlson was the leading scorer for the Bobcats on a windy day with a one over par 73. The State tournament is Friday and Saturday at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
