City Council meetings dot the Monday evening landscape.

The Toledo City Council will gather at six tonight;

The Grundy Center City Council will gavel into session at 6:30 this evening;

and the Marshalltown City Council will meet tonight at 5:30 in Council chambers. Among the items on the agenda in Marshalltown, a resolution calling for a special election for the vacant Ward 2 council seat and the next move on a proposed ordinance for licensing massage therapy businesses. The first reading of that ordinance was tabled two weeks ago in the face of opposition from therapists, who are already doing business in the community.
