The co-founders of Splash For Life, which continues to try and gain support to build a splash pad in Marshalltown approached the Marshalltown City Council regarding their project. The supporters of the splash pad are now considering trying to add a splash pad to the Iowa River Trail, but feel they continue to run into silence from both the Council and Parks and Rec. Anna Wolvers says the group would just like some consistent feedback.

Splash For Life began in the wake of children dying several years ago while swimming in the Iowa River.
