The season came to an end last night for the Bobcat gilrs basketball team, as Marshalltown was defeated by Des Moines East 79 to 34 in a 5a first round playoff game. The Bobcats finish and 1 and 20 on the season.

Meantime in 4A, Newton was eliminated by CArlisle 67 to 44.

SOme other  results,  in 4A, Bondurant-Farrar advanced 43-28 over Perry,  and in 5A Ames advanced over Waterloo West 67-44.
