For the second time in as many years Drake is searching for a new basketball coach.

Niko Medved is leaving Des Moines for a similar job at Colorado State. after leading the Bulldogs to a 17-17 record and a third place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference. Drake athletic director Brian Hardin  says he has a list of candidates he wants to visit with about the opening. That includes Assistant Dave Thorson, who will serve as interim head coach.
