Voters in Ames and Gilbert both said “yes” to bond issue proposals for school districts in their communities yesterday.
In Ames, 84.7 of those who voted approved a 110-million dollar plan to build a new high school and expand three elementary schools.
In Gilbert, the 14 million dollar plan to renovate all four district buildings as well as improve arts and athletic facilities breezed to approval with an 85.2 percent approval.
Both results were well above the 60 percent approval required for passage.
