Dollars to help repair an historic bridge in Tama County has been helped by a new grant from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.
Spokesman Michael Morain says the 50-thousand dollar grant will help improve the 102 year old bridge that passes through Tama. He adds that’s just one example of how the department helps with projects.
The grant for the bridge was portion of more than two million dollars in grants for projects announced by the Cultural Affairs Department.
