The latest U-S-D-A report on Iowa crops indicates the rain that’s fallen recently in parts of Iowa may help boost corn and soybean yields. However the report indicates 11 percent of the state is “very short” of topsoil moisture.

Nearly three-quarters of the state’s corn crop is rated good to excellent in the weekly U-S-D-A report, while statewide soybean conditions declined slightly to 70 percent rates as good to excellent.
