The fall enrollment numbers at the three state universities all show a drop compared to last year.  Iowa State University’s Laura Doering (Door-ring) says they saw a  drop of one-thousand-and one students.

Even with the drop, it is still the fourth largest fall enrollment for the Ames campus.

The number of international students was down by 424. Doering says some of that is due to the political climate.

the University of Iowa reports a drop in enrollment of 616 to 32-thousand-948. The University or Northern Iowa reported a drop of 695 students this fall compared to last year.
