The soon-to-be former police station and the Senior Citizene’s Center building dominated discussion at last night’s Marshalltown City Council meeting.

Regarding the police station, non-profit organization YSS’s bid to buy the building for 35-dollars was challenged by a bid from Mark Eaton of Marshalltown, who submitted a proposal for a ten year Lease from the City for the building. After multiple comments from the public and Council discussion, the YSS proposal was tabled for 60 days by the Council.

A move between now and then to pull the item off the table is an option, should a Councilor request that between now and January.
