We are all quite proud that Trending Media General; Manager and C0-Owner Todd Steinkamp has been named Broadcaster of the Year by the Iowa Broadcaster’s Association.

The honor, in part, recognizes Todd’s efforts to keep both KIX 101.1 and KFJB on the air in the wake of last July’s tornado. Todd was able to get the stations back on the air after the power went out via our backup generator, along with jerry-rigging what he could to keep us on the air, so we could attempt to keep you, the listener, as informed as possible. Todd operated on minimal sleep for several days while leading us through our coverage.

Our congratulations to Todd…and even though we may be biased…he is more than deserving of the honor of as Broadcaster of the Year. The Award was presented today at the IBA Summer Convention in Des Moines.
