Thursday was another busy one for the Marshalltown Police Department.
Two people were arrested after one of them fired a pistol at an individual..and missed… just after four yesterday morning in the 300 block of North 4th Avenue.
Police arrested Jeremy lavender on a number of charges, including attempted murder. Stevie Lavender was arrested on a number of misdemeanor charges, including four counts of child endangerment.
Then, just after eleven a.m., police arrested an unidentified man in the 100 block of West Main street for assaulting a woman near First United Methodist Church. The Times-Republican reports one of its employees witnessed the assault. He took the woman to the Marshalltown Library where police were called about the incident.
