We are in the midst of Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention month, an issue that faces all communities of all types. In Marshalltown, the Police Department has responded to 283 calls just this year with 85 arrests. However, Detective Dawn Blohnak says some studies show only one-quarter of all incidents are actually reported.
