If you like to see kids smiling, you might want to drop by the Marshalltown WalMart either this Thursday and Friday evening or next Thursday and Friday evening. On those four nights, the Fraternal Order of Police’ Shop With A Cop nights will take place. This event started by helping 20 kids, last year it was 40…and this year Officer Andrew Cole says a total of $10,000 was raised for the event.

Cole adds the FOP is very pleased with how fundraising efforts have progressed, especially since the organization wanted to move away from its former telemarketing campaign. Cole says the goal is to make FOP events even bigger and better each year.
