Ames Police Investigate Armed Robbery

On Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at approximately 2:22 A.M., the Ames Police Department received a call of an armed robbery that had occurred at the Swift Stop located at 1118 South Duff Avenue. An employee reported a white male in his mid 20s, approximately 5’10”, wearing a black shirt, came into the store, and displayed a knife. The suspect demanded money from the cash drawer, and left the store to the south.  The store employee was not injured.
