The Marshall County Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved a road project worth about 2.2 million dollars between Iowa Highway 96 and Garwin Road. The County Engineers Department reports this is in about a six mile stretch that has a lot of truck traffic and is in need of paving and resurfacing work. Manatt`s of Brooklyn Iowa will be contracted to do the work. They will also being doing work from Iowa 14 to Gladbrook as well. The work is expected to be done in the early part of summer. Also underway is work on the famous Crooked Bridge in northern Marshall County. That work is expected to continue and be done by the first of July.
