The Marshall County Board of Supervisors selected Shomo Madsen Insurance and E-M-C Insurance of Marshalltown for property, casualty and workmans compensation insurance as they met at the Marshall County Courthouse.
The price tag was 402-thousand and 49 dollars.
In other action the Board approved plans for a bridge project in the rural Haverhill Area, the project is on a granular surfaced road called Parker Avenue, the work will be done next year, County Secondary Roads Director Paul Guy Len Feld says the feds will pay 80% of the cost of 450-thousand dollars, the present bridge is made of timber and steel and has been detiorating.
The Board canvassed a recent election for 3 members the merged Iowa Valley Community College Board of Directors, Delbert Kellogg, Yvonne Mallory and Deborah Jones ran uncontested for reelection.
Two county employees were recognized for years of service: Andy Rhodes of the Engineers office for 15 years and Mindy Kruse for five years of service to the Marshall County Sheriffs Department.
