We’re switching things up this year – Sprint Triathlon will be returning with a new date and will now be a USA Triathlon sanctioned event! We’ll kick off Grinnell Games activities this year on April 14th with the Sprint Triathlon.

The Sprint Triathlon will feature a 0.5 mile swim at the Grinnell College Natatorium, 12.4 mile bike path near Rock Creek State Park, and a 3.1 mile run through downtown Grinnell. Participate as an individual or a team of 3.

We’ve also added a Mini Tri. This event is perfect for a newcomer to triathlons. With a shorter distances perfect for all ages, participants get the joy of competing in a triathlon without the burden of advanced training the Sprint requires. This event will feature a 100 meter swim at the Grinnell College Natatorium, 5 mile bike ride, and 1 mile run through Grinnell College campus.
