Rain has caused an adjustment to the Girls State Softball Tournament in Ft Dodge. Over one
inch of rain fell in a half-hour time mid afternoon Thursday. The late games were postponed to
today...with all consolation bracket games cancelled for the balance of the tournament.
The 4A opening games will be played starting at 430 today...with their semi-finals on Saturday
morning. The semi-finals will be played today in the other classes.

Marshalltown Bobcats State Loss
The Marshalltown Bobcats gave the defending state champion Lions of Linn-Mar all they could handle in the 54 to 48 overtime loss at Wells Fargo arena. In their 24 state tournament appearances (4 championships) the Bobcats had been 2-1 in overtime games.
