Anthony Davis set a team record and an NBA season high for points in a game by delivering 59 in the New Orleans Pelicans’ 111-106 win over the Detroit Pistons. Davis hit 23 of his 34 shots and pulled down 20 rebounds in leading the Pelicans to their fourth victory in five games. He scored 19 points in the fourth quarter to surpass DeMarcus Cousins’ previous NBA season high of 56 points set with Sacramento against Charlotte on Jan. 25.
