The Marshalltown School Board is expected to accept the resignation of member Ben Stansberry as they meet this afternoon at district headquarters at 5:00 p.m. Board member Stansberry was recently arrested on charges of theft and trespassing and also resigned his job as Assistant County Attorney. The resignation is effective right away. The election of a president and vice president of the School Board is also expected as part of the agenda. Art teacher Wade Judge will talk about a design he made to spruce up a walkway downtown, and two student government representatives will talk to the school board about activities going on for Homecoming Week in the Marshalltown School District this week.
