A partnership between the community and the House of Compassion is hoping to blossom into a community garden this season. Joyce Brown, who is director of the City’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program, says the City was looking at trying something like a community garden and the HOC had just the right location for one at South 3rd and West Church Street.
A kick off meeting for the Community Garden will take place Monday afternoon at the Marshalltown Public Library from 11:30 to 12:30. Anyone who is interested in helping out with the Community Garden is urged to be a part of that meeting.
