If you have a certain kind of Kidde dual sensor smoke alarm in your home, you need to check it out for a possible malfunction.

The Marshalltown Fire Department says if you have Kidde models PI2010 or PI9010, you should take it down and check to see if it has a yellow cap. That cap may cover one of the sensors and not warn you if there is a fire or smoke problem in your house. For more information, you can go to kidde.com online.
