A late surge carried the Iowa Hawkeyes past Cincinnati in the NCAA Tournament.
Luka Garza had 20 points and Iowa roared back from an early 13 point deficit to post a 79-72 victory in front of a partisan Bearcat crowd in Columbus.
Perimeter shooting was a trouble spot late in the regular season. But, the Hawkeyes finished 11 of 22 from three point range.

Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery says the Hawkeyes executed well on both ends of the floor in the second half.

Iowa moves into Sunday’s second round versus Tennessee. The Vols downed Colgate 77 to 70 to earn the right to face the Hawkeyes.

Game time Sunday morning is 11:10 from Columbus, with the pre-game at 10:00 on 1230 KFJB.
