It was close, but there were not enough yes votes to gain the 60% approval the Iowa Valley Community College District needed for the passage of a 32-million dollar bond issue.

The issue earned 58.39 of the yes votes. 3,814 total votes were cast throughout the district.

Voting areas where the issue failed to earn a simple majority of yes votes included Garwin, State Center, Eldora-New Providence, Hubbard- Radcliffe, BGM and Montezuma.
