508 new cases, nine more deaths, including the first fatality in Story County. That’s today’s COVID-19 update from the Iowa Department of Public health.

Marshall County reported 26 news cases for 434, Tama County now has 263 cases, Jasper County now up to 109.

6,376 the number of confirmed cases and 136 deaths to date.

The number of negative tests reported now over 33 thousand.

Governor Kim Reynolds this morning said the state had added seven long-term care centers to the outbreak list, including the Iowa Veteran’s Home, along with two Jasper County facilities, Park Center and Acura Health Care of Newton West.
