Pauline G. Borton, 94, of State Center, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown.  A private family service will take place.  She and her family are under the care of Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Pauline was born November 19, 1925 to William and Myrtle (Stamps) Schulz in Hockerville, OK.  She graduated from State Center High School in 1943.  She married Thomas R. Borton on March 19, 1944.

Pauline enjoyed volunteering, gardening, painting, sewing, reading, writing stories and poetry and many years as a member of the Rhodes United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughter Mary (Alvin) Mau and son Paul (Anita) Borton; grandchildren: Jed Borton, Todd (Michelle) Borton, Lori (Gary) Shaffar, Rachelle Mau and Janice Winklebaur; great-grandchildren: Terri, Jacob, Bailey and Mack Borton and Zandar and Hope Shaffar; great-great grandchildren Jay and Ryker King; brother Russell Schulz of Madras, Oregon; sister Janice Hitchcock Lusby of Cocoa, Florida and sister-in-law Joann Schulz of Portland, Oregon.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, 2 sisters in infancy and 2 brothers, Vernon and Ray.
