Members of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture and their state and provincial counterparts in Mexico and Canada are meeting virtually this week for the Tri-National Agricultural Accord.

NASDA President Ryan Quarles says the countries will discuss COVID-19 response, implementation of the US Mexico Canada Agreement, and more.

“These are unprecedented times that we live in, but we all share the important, positive goal of this unique Accord and today we’re excited to have a renewed commitment to strengthen our relationships across the North American continent and grow trade opportunities between our countries,” he says

Carlos Muniz Rodriguez, president of the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Agricultural Development (AMSDA), says the countries are facing historic challenges with COVID-19, contraction of consumption, and loss of employment.
