The state of Iowa has blown past the 200,000 count in confirmed COVID cases to date. With nearly 29-hundred new cases since midday yesterday, the total count is now 201,570. That is over 100,000 cases just since the weekend of October 10th.

More good news on the positivity test rate and hospitalization numbers. Of the seven counties we track, six saw the 14-day rate of positive tests decrease for the second straight day. The exception was Grundy County.

The number of Iowans hospitalized fell by 69 to 1,447.

25 more deaths reported since midday yesterday, two in Jasper County.
