Charles “Charlie” Coffman, 86, of Albion, IA passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home in Albion surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Homes. Due to Concerns regarding Covid-19, the family encourages the use of Anderson Funeral Homes livestream to view the service. The link will be able to be accessed off of the Anderson Funeral Homes Facebook page at the time of the service. The family requests everyone to wear a mask to the visitation and funeral service. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the services. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Charlie’s memory to Iowa River Hospice or a charity of your choice. Charlie was born March 23, 1934 to Edward “Fritz” and Hazel (Mobley) Coffman in Marshalltown, IA. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1952. He was united in marriage to his best friend Barbara Coffman on May 5, 1981 in Unionville, Missouri. Charlie was employed with Lennox for 47 years before retiring. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Albion, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. Charlie was always enjoying the outdoors, where you could find him fishing, hunting, camping, or even trap shooting. You could also find him playing the card game pepper or pass the ace, cracking jokes with friends and tool shopping at Harbor Freight.

Left to cherish his memories will be his loving wife, Barbara Coffman of Albion, six children; Randy (Debbie) Coffman of La Quinta, CA, Charles Coffman Jr. of Bella Vista, AR, Jennifer (Brent) Byrum of Lincoln, AR, Tim (Barb) Smith of Portland, OR, Chris (Tami) Smith of Marshalltown, David (Ed Holomon) Smith; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his two daughters, Wendy Cook and Pamela Cripps.
