Scott Allen Adkins was born on November 15, 1957 in Marshalltown to parents Homer and Lucille (Price) Adkins. He grew up in Le Grand before moving to Marshalltown, where he has called home his entire adult life. After meeting Carolyn Wallace, they were united in marriage on September 28, 1983 and together raised their three boys. Scott was a hard worker and incredibly smart, always willing to share his knowledge and skill with those around him. He worked in maintenance at the Marshalltown Community College, many years as an electrician at Hunt Electric and the last several years in electrical and mechanical maintenance at Lydall Sealing Solutions, Inc. He loved his Harley, skulls and his collections of knives, flashlights, lasers and guitars. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Adkins; his three sons: Josh (Angie) Adkins, Jeremy (Felecity) Adkins and Jesse (Brooke) Adkins; ten grandchildren: Emri, Ezra, Evan, Kylie, Keygan, Kage, Kaden, Kacin, Kota and Kole; his brother, Steve Adkins; brother-in-law, Bob Crandon; best friend and partner-in-crime at work, Chris “Pellet” Beebe and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
