Marshalltown Mayor Joel Greer has said he intended to be a one-term mayor. But, things change, as Greer has filed the paperwork to run for re-election in November. Serina Stabenow has also filed for the Mayor’s race.

First Ward Councilor MIke Ladehoff will run unopposed, while Dex Walker drew no challengers for the Third Ward seat. There are four candidates for the two open At-Large

seats; Jeff Schiender, Barry Kell, Dean Stucky and Mark Eaton. Current council members Bill Martin, Bethany Wirin and Mike Gowdy did not seek re-election.

The Marshalltown School has three seats up for grabs. Incumbent Karina Hernadez will be joined in the ballot by Bekcy Kouang, Bonnie Lowry, Melissa Nine, Leah Stanley and Zach Wahl. Bea Niblock and Mike Miller are not running for re-election to the School Board.
